    Symposium of Doctoral Representatives Held by the University

    In order to gain an in-depth understanding of the working conditions of doctoral staff in school development, strengthen talent team building, and enhance the quality of teaching and research, the university held a symposium for doctoral representatives in the conference room on the first floor of the administration building on the afternoon of April 7. Members of the university leadership team, doctoral representatives from various departments, and relevant personnel from the Teacher Development Center attended the meeting. The symposium was presided over by Yu Xingxiang, member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the university. Sun Yunmao, Secretary of the Party Committee of the university, introduced the overall situation of the university's current doctoral talent recruitment and put forward clear requirements regarding the role and work direction of doctoral staff in the university's development. 

    Sun Yunmao pointed out that as high-level professionals, doctoral staff play an important leading role in enhancing the research awareness of all faculty members and stimulating vitality in scientific research and innovation. Doctoral staff should: Take root in vocational education and integrate cutting-edge concepts and technologies into teaching and program construction to lead the new direction of teaching reform and professional development; Give full play to their professional advantages, use innovative thinking to guide students in participating in vocational skills competitions, strengthen the cultivation of students' work spirit, and help students achieve high-quality employment; Actively participate in teaching reform projects such as textbook compilation and school-enterprise cooperation by leveraging their rich knowledge reserves, transform academic research results into practical productivity, enhance the university's ability to serve society, and inject new vitality into the integration of industry and education. 

    Wang Faming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the university, fully affirmed the leading role played by doctoral staff in professional construction and scientific research since joining the university. He expressed the hope that doctoral staff would: Continue to leverage their advantages in scientific research to help the university reach new heights in research; Actively integrate new technologies and trends from the industry forefront into professional and curriculum construction to enhance students' employment competitiveness; Introduce cutting-edge knowledge into student skills competitions to help students achieve excellent results. In addition, he encouraged doctoral staff to aim for national-level teaching and research achievements, strive for breakthroughs in teaching and research projects, and win more honors for the university. The doctoral representatives spoke freely about their main work over the past year, covering teaching, scientific research, social services, and other fields. When discussing the role of doctoral staff in higher vocational colleges, the representatives believed that doctoral staff should not only be promoters of teaching reform and leaders of scientific research innovation but also play a key role in professional construction and talent cultivation. Furthermore, the doctoral representatives put forward many constructive opinions and suggestions on the development of the university, involving improving scientific research conditions, strengthening professional construction, and enhancing international exchanges and cooperation. 

    This symposium of doctoral representatives not only summarized the work achievements of doctoral staff and conducted an in-depth analysis of existing problems but also pooled the wisdom of all parties and clarified the key directions for doctoral training. The university will take this symposium as an opportunity to continuously optimize the environment for talent development, place the cultivation of high-level talents in a prominent position, increase support for doctoral staff, and build a sound talent training system. By giving full play to the key role of doctoral staff in teaching, scientific research, and the integration of industry and education, and through their exemplary leadership, more teachers will be encouraged to steadily advance toward the goals of improving the quality of education and teaching and enhancing scientific research strength. This will lay a solid foundation for promoting the high-quality development of the university and building a distinctive high-level higher vocational college.
