Recently,the 18th Shandong Provincial Vocational College Skills Competition,organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education,the Department of Industry and Information Technology,the Department of Human Resources and Social Security,and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs,concluded successfully.A delegation from our university,consisting of 139 team leaders,instructors,and participants,formed 20 teams to compete in 17 categories,including finance and economics,commerce,education and sports,art and design,and artificial intelligence.Leveraging solid professional skills and outstanding teamwork,the participating teams achieved remarkable results,securing 6 gold medals,3 silver medals,and 8 bronze medals.
The 2025 provincial competition underwent comprehensive category reforms aligned with the WorldSkills Competition.Guided by the core principle of"promoting teaching,learning,and reform through competition,"the reforms were closely integrated with the national economic industry classification,vocational education program offerings,and the demands of Shandong's"Top Ten"industries,completing the transition from traditional segmented events to comprehensive categories.In response to these changes,all colleges developed meticulous training plans to address practical issues during preparation.Instructors collaborated wholeheartedly,dedicated themselves unreservedly,and gave their all.Participating teachers and students diligently studied competition rules,conducted scenario-based simulations,and promptly summarized lessons learned,fostering a proactive and driven preparatory atmosphere across the university.During the competition,participants remained calm and composed,showcasing their skills,speed,and professionalism,demonstrating high ethical standards,an uplifting spirit,and excellent vocational skills,fully embodying the craftsman spirit of precision and excellence.
This year,our university successfully hosted the"Art and Design"category of the provincial competition.Over 400 teachers and students from institutions across the province participated.The university established a competition preparation leadership group,held multiple specialized meetings to plan and deploy preparatory work.From the planning and arrangement of competition venues to the procurement and debugging of equipment,and from optimizing competition procedures to ensuring logistical support,every aspect was meticulously organized and thoughtfully arranged,earning unanimous praise from participating teachers and students.
The new competition system signifies a new beginning.The university will thoroughly summarize its experiences,continue leveraging the positive role of skills competitions in guiding and advancing teaching reforms,vigorously promote the craftsman spirit,foster a deep-rooted culture of ingenuity,and continuously enhance students'professional competence and skill levels,laying a solid foundation for the university's high-quality development.
