From December 26 to 28,the 2025 Belt and Road and BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition,featuring the inaugural"Information Technology Innovation(Xinchuang)and AI Multilingual Cultural Application"category,held its national finals at Caofeidian Vocational and Technical College.More than 60 teams from across the country competed in this event.Through fierce competition,the teachers and students from our School of Information Engineering secured one second prize in the staff group,two second prizes and two third prizes in the higher vocational group.Additionally,our school was honored with the Outstanding Organization Award and the Significant Contribution Award for its exceptional organizational efforts.
This competition focused on the core aspects of Xinchuang technology and the application of artificial intelligence in multilingual cultural contexts.It deeply integrated cutting-edge technologies such as information technology application innovation,machine learning,and natural language processing with cultural elements like Chinese traditional culture,intangible cultural heritage,and paper-cutting art.The competition featured comprehensive,practical,and innovative tasks designed to thoroughly evaluate participants'technical proficiency,cultural understanding,and interdisciplinary integration capabilities.Participants were required to complete the competition tasks within six hours,comprehensively testing their technical literacy and innovative practical abilities.
During the preparation period,the school developed customized training plans for the participating teachers and students.These plans provided systematic guidance on various competition modules,including foundational theories of the Xinchuang industry and artificial intelligence,data annotation(given data),data annotation(data modeling),and image generation.During the competition,the participants remained composed and meticulous in every module,even under the intense six-hour schedule.Leveraging their superb technical skills and rich cultural insights,they successfully completed the tasks across four modules,fully embodying the competition's motto:"Technology Empowers Culture,Culture Infuses Soul into Technology."
This achievement marks a significant milestone for our school in the field of Xinchuang technology and AI multilingual cultural applications.Moving forward,the school will leverage the competition as a platform to promote the coordinated development of teaching,learning,and institutional building.We will deepen cooperation mechanisms with Xinchuang enterprises and the competition organizing committee to cultivate more high-skilled talents proficient in Xinchuang core technologies and aligned with industry development needs.These efforts will contribute to the advancement of the national Xinchuang industry and foster technological innovation collaboration among BRICS countries.
