On November 23,the 2025 Belt and Road and BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition in the"Innovative Skills Application of Building Intelligence"category concluded successfully in Fuling,Chongqing.The School of Architectural Engineering of our institution sent a team consisting of students Guan Jirui,Li Yuxuan,and Kong Wenyu to compete in the Building Internet of Things(IoT)direction of the finals.With their solid professional foundation,exceptional technological innovation capabilities,and seamless teamwork,they achieved the top score and secured first prize in the higher vocational group of the national finals.Additionally,our school was awarded the"Best Organization Award."
The"Innovative Skills Application of Building Intelligence"competition focuses on the forefront of digitalization and intelligence in the construction industry,comprehensively evaluating participants'integrated abilities in areas such as smart design,system integration,equipment debugging,and project presentation.The competition spanned one day and consisted of two modules:Module One,"Smart Design,"required teams to use digital dimension construction and building energy efficiency design software to complete project design and presentation;Module Two,"Artificial Intelligence IoT Sensor Experiment,"emphasized testing participants'practical skills in deploying sensors,collecting data,and coordinating devices in real hardware environments,thoroughly assessing their operational proficiency in debugging,signal processing,and system integration within the building IoT field.
This achievement showcases the solid expertise and innovative capabilities of our students in the building IoT direction and reflects the significant outcomes of the School of Architectural Engineering in advancing disciplinary adjustments and fostering interdisciplinary talent cultivation.In recent years,the school has closely aligned with the development trends of building intelligence,systematically establishing a curriculum and practical platform characterized by"smart construction+IoT,"strengthening the development of teaching faculty,promoting project-based teaching reforms,and providing robust support for students'professional growth and comprehensive development.
Moving forward,the School of Architectural Engineering will continue to delve deeper into industry frontiers such as building IoT and green construction,enhance industry-education integration,improve the quality of high-skilled talent cultivation,and actively contribute to the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry as well as regional socioeconomic development.
