    Our University Wins Silver Medal in Water Conservancy Track of 2025 World Vocational College Skills Championship Finals

    From August 24 to 25, the Higher Vocational Group of the Water Conservancy Track in the 2025 World Vocational College Skills Championship Finals was held at Guangxi Vocational and Technical College of Water Resources and Electric Power. The team from Shandong Business Vocational College, composed of Jiang Yaohong, Sun Wenying, Zhang Zhibo, and Cao Yuehan from the School of Architectural Engineering, delivered an outstanding performance. Competing against 80 teams from across the country, they secured the silver medal, bringing honor to our university.  

    Under the careful guidance of the faculty team from the School of Architectural Engineering, our representatives overcame numerous challenges, including tight preparation time and updated competition rules. They systematically integrated on- and off-campus training resources and conducted multiple rounds of practical training and simulated exercises. During the competition, our participants remained calm, collaborated effectively, and demonstrated solid professional skills and excellent vocational competence, ultimately earning high recognition from the judging panel.  

    This competition closely aligned with the high-quality development needs of the water conservancy sector in its new phase, promoting the integration of industry and education. By incorporating real industry demands into the contest, it emphasized comprehensive skills application in "real scenarios, real problems, and real skills," effectively fostering deeper integration between vocational education and industry needs. The participating teams proposed innovative solutions for "green and low-carbon construction" and "water conservancy digital twin innovation," providing valuable practical cases for vocational education reform and further facilitating the transformation of competition outcomes into teaching standards and curriculum content.  

    This achievement marks another milestone in the university’s efforts to deepen the connotation of education and teaching, reflecting the collective dedication and strength of the faculty advisors and participating students. The School of Architectural Engineering will leverage this success as an opportunity to further optimize its program structure, enhance the construction of high-level training bases, and promote teaching reforms driven by skill competitions, thereby cultivating more high-quality technical and skilled talents to support regional economic and social development.
