Recently, the final round of the 2025 Yantai Tour Guide (Commentator) Vocational Skills Competition in the amateur category concluded after intense and exciting competition. Li Meiqi, a student from the Culture and Tourism School of our university, stood out among over 30 finalists from across the city, securing third place overall and the first prize in the competition, bringing honor to our university once again.
The competition consisted of three core segments: scenic spot commentary, talent showcase, and thematic speech. In the scenic spot commentary segment, Li Meiqi vividly and fluently narrated the mystical tales of Penglai Pavilion with rich emotion. During the talent showcase, her captivating storytelling performance won enthusiastic applause from the audience. During the preparation period, under the careful guidance of her instructor, Li Meiqi meticulously refined every detail and continuously pushed her limits through countless practice sessions.
This outstanding achievement is a testament to the fruitful results of the "promoting learning through competition and integrating competition with teaching" educational model long upheld by our university's Tourism Management program. Moving forward, the Culture and Tourism School will remain committed to its educational mission, striving for excellence in tourism vocational education to cultivate more high-quality cultural and tourism professionals who meet the demands of the times, thereby contributing to the high-quality development of cultural and tourism initiatives.
