On the afternoon of July 6, the graduation ceremony for the study tour to China by Malaysia's Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) Vocational College was held at the school's Learning Center. Yu Xingxiang, Member of the School Party Committee and Vice President, attended the ceremony. Chen Qingliang, Chief Executive Officer of TAR UMT Vocational College, participated online. The event was hosted by Shi Denghua, Party Branch Secretary of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing. Leaders from the School of International Education and the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, along with faculty representatives and relevant staff, jointly attended the event.
This study tour lasted for one month. Combining the professional strengths of both institutions and the actual circumstances of the students, the School of Intelligent Manufacturing designed a comprehensive training system for the seven students from TAR UMT Vocational College, spanning from fundamentals to applications and from theory to practice. The content covered cutting-edge fields such as basic electronic and electrical operations, precision measurement technology, 3D printing technology, automatic control technology, and industrial robotics and vision systems. During the training period, the school also organized a variety of cultural experience activities. While experiencing the charm of traditional Chinese culture, the students also forged deep friendships with our faculty and students, building a solid bridge for cross-cultural exchanges between Chinese and Malaysian youth.
At the graduation ceremony, Zhou Xing'en, Deputy Dean of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, reviewed and summarized the training situation of the study tour. He comprehensively outlined the course of the program from aspects including curriculum design, practical operations, daily management, and living services, pointing out that every detail embodied the dedication of teachers from both institutions, and it was precisely these efforts that ensured the complete success of the study tour.
CEO Chen Qingliang delivered a sincere and heartfelt message online. She expressed gratitude to our school for its meticulous organization, congratulated the students on successfully completing their study tasks, and encouraged everyone to bring the knowledge and skills they had acquired back to Malaysia, becoming bridges for vocational education exchange and cooperation between China and Malaysia.
During the graduation commendation and certificate presentation segment, Yu Xingxiang awarded graduation certificates to the seven international students. After systematic learning and rigorous assessment, all seven students achieved passing grades in every assessment, successfully completing the training objectives of this session.
Shi Denghua stated that this gathering was the first striking chapter in the long scroll of cooperation between the two institutions. In the future, whether through teacher-student exchanges, academic collaboration, skills competitions, or joint curriculum development, more flowers of friendship and cooperation will surely bloom between our school and TAR UMT Vocational College. He hoped that the students would take this as a new starting point, apply what they have learned, and enjoy a bright future.
The successful hosting of this study tour not only deepened the vocational education cooperation between our school and TAR UMT Vocational College but also provided an excellent platform for cultural exchanges between Chinese and Malaysian youth. The two institutions will take this cooperation as an opportunity to continuously deepen exchanges and mutual learning, jointly promoting the international development of vocational education.
