On the afternoon of June 10, a delegation from Korea's New Gyeongju University visited our school. The delegation included Koo Bon-gi, Vice President of New Gyeongju University, and Kim Ja-yoo, Vice President and Director of the International Office. Wang Faming, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee and President of the school, met with the delegation. Yu Xingxiang, Member of the School Party Committee and Vice President, attended the exchange activities, along with relevant officials from the Enrollment Office, School of International Education, Academic Affairs Office, and School of Culture and Tourism who participated in the symposium. Wang Faming expressed his hope that the two universities would take this exchange as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation in areas such as education and teaching, faculty-student exchanges, and international talent cultivation, jointly promoting the high-quality development of vocational education.
During the symposium, Yu Xingxiang, on behalf of the school, extended a warm welcome to the delegation from New Gyeongju University and introduced the school's educational characteristics, program development, international exchange and cooperation, and talent cultivation. She stated that the school has always adhered to an open education philosophy and actively pursued its international development strategy. She expressed the hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation between the two sides in areas such as faculty-student exchanges, joint training, and Sino-foreign cooperative education, jointly cultivating high-quality skilled talents with an international perspective.
Koo Bon-gi expressed his gratitude for the school's warm reception and introduced New Gyeongju University's development overview, disciplinary characteristics, and achievements in international education. He expressed the hope that both sides would fully leverage their respective strengths and carry out practical cooperation in areas such as student exchanges, faculty exchanges, curriculum cooperation, and academic advancement, promoting the mutual development of both institutions.
During the meeting, the two sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics including student exchange programs, Sino-foreign cooperative education, and innovation in international talent cultivation models, reaching broad consensus on future cooperation directions. After the exchange, the two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), laying a solid foundation for establishing a long-term and stable cooperative relationship. During their visit to the school, the delegation toured the Shandong Grain Science and Technology Museum, gaining an in-depth understanding of the school's efforts to serve the grain industry and its development of specialty programs.
In recent years, our school has actively promoted international exchanges and cooperation, continuously expanding its cooperation network with Korean universities, and has achieved positive results in areas such as joint training, student exchanges, and academic advancement. The school has successively established cooperative relationships with multiple Korean universities and steadily advanced its international education practices. This visit by the New Gyeongju University delegation and the signing of the cooperation memorandum have further broadened the school's international cooperation channels. In the future, the two sides will take this exchange as a new starting point to continuously deepen educational cooperation and jointly promote the high-quality development of education between China and Korea.
