To advance the internationalization of program development, optimize the education system, and support the high-quality development of the Hotel Management and Digital Operations program, our school held a special online seminar on cooperative education with Korea's Kyungdong University. The two sides engaged in in-depth consultations on core tasks including project application preparation, talent cultivation, curriculum development, faculty allocation, and internship and employment safeguards, clarifying the project development ideas and implementation tasks.
During the meeting, both sides introduced their respective hotel management programs in terms of educational offerings, faculty, practical training, and educational outcomes. In light of the digital and international development trends in the cultural tourism industry, the two sides reached a cooperation consensus to integrate high-quality educational resources from both countries, draw on South Korea's mature teaching experience in hotel management, align with the demand for digital operations positions in China, fill the gaps in the program's international talent cultivation, and cultivate high-quality international skilled talents suited to industrial development.
The two sides defined construction measures from three aspects—faculty, curriculum, and talent cultivation—and standardized the faculty qualification and management mechanism. Korean teachers coming to China must undergo joint qualification review by both sides, and faculty files will be improved to ensure teaching compatibility. The curriculum content will be precisely benchmarked against industry standards and optimized, breaking down barriers between Chinese and foreign teaching systems, and the curriculum framework will be optimized around practical application, job adaptability, and industry frontiers to build an international curriculum system that meets industrial needs. Relying on South Korea's high-quality educational and practical training resources, and closely addressing the domestic demand for digitally operational talent in high-end hotels, a composite talent cultivation objective will be established. Through implementing bilingual teaching and building a dual-track education model combining on-campus practical training and overseas internships, the quality of talent cultivation will be comprehensively enhanced, helping students achieve diversified and high-quality employment. This seminar clarified the project advancement ideas and division of responsibilities, laying a solid foundation for the project application and implementation. In the next steps, the school will systematically refine application materials, optimize the curriculum and faculty systems, and advance the construction of the cooperation project to high standards, creating a distinctive brand of international education and delivering high-quality talent to the regional cultural tourism industry.
