From April 1 to 3, the National Final of the Technical Innovation Competition of the 2026 Belt and Road & BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition was held in Xiamen. Shandong Business Institute, together with Yantai AI Application Big Data Technology Co., Ltd., won the bronze award in the Digital Agriculture and Food Security Track with the project "Digital Intelligent Granary: Intelligent Management Platform for Grain Production Safety". This competition was held for undergraduate and vocational college students to compete on the same stage, demonstrating the college's technical strength and industry-education integration achievements in the digitalization of food security.
With the theme of "Integrating Technological Innovation to Empower New Industries and Promote Sustainable Development of BRICS Countries", the competition was hosted by the Chinese Council of the BRICS Business Council, the Belt and Road & BRICS Skills Development International Alliance and other units, setting up ten tracks including intelligent advanced manufacturing and digital agriculture and food security. A total of 561 units and 1,945 projects participated in the competition, and 703 projects advanced to the final, making it a high-standard and high-level national international skill competition.
The college's participating project closely focused on the needs of the national food security strategy, aiming at the challenges of multi-source element management and control of "people, vehicles, operations, risks and contractors" in traditional granary management, deeply integrated the new generation of information technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data and artificial intelligence, and built an intelligent management system integrating intelligent environmental monitoring, personnel operation management and control, equipment operation management, automatic risk early warning and closed-loop handling of abnormalities, comprehensively improving the refinement, intelligence and digitalization level of grain storage safety management and control.
