On the morning of November 10th,the opening ceremony of the 2025 Localized Frontline Supervisor Training Program for Overseas Enterprises was held in the conference room of the administration building at our university.The ceremony was attended by Wang Faming,Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the university;Wu Bo,Human Resources Manager of Luoyang Luanchuan Molybdenum Industry Group Co.,Ltd.;Xiao Peng,Assistant to the Director of the Education and Training Department of the Nonferrous Metals Industry Talent Center;and Liu Jingguang,Dean of the School of International Education,who presided over the event.Also present were representatives from relevant departments and schools of the university,as well as faculty members.
Wang Faming extended a warm welcome to the trainees from the Democratic Republic of the Congo(DRC)and provided an overview of the university.He emphasized that this training program is a significant initiative to support the overseas development of enterprises and deepen the integration of industry and education,aiming to enhance the comprehensive capabilities of localized frontline supervisors in overseas enterprises.He expressed his hope that the trainees would actively engage in exchanges,learn from each other,and not only improve their management and professional skills but also experience Chinese culture and the unique characteristics of Shandong Province,ultimately becoming ambassadors for Sino-foreign cooperation and cultural exchange.

Xiao Peng emphasized that localized employees in overseas nonferrous metals enterprises are a key force driving the development of China's nonferrous metals industry.Among them,frontline supervisors not only serve as supervisors but also as representatives of the employees,acting as an important bridge connecting senior management with grassroots staff.This training program focuses on grassroots management,aiming to enhance the supervisory capabilities of frontline supervisors.He expressed his hope that the program would comprehensively improve the management competencies of the participants,support their personal growth,and thereby contribute to the collective progress of the nonferrous metals industry.
