On July 12, 2025, the 3rd Yantai Vocational Skills Competition for the Childcare Service Industry and the 2025 Yantai "Skills Revitalize Yantai" Childcare Worker Vocational Skills Competition were successfully held at our institution. The event was co-sponsored by the Yantai Municipal Health Commission, Yantai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and Yantai Federation of Trade Unions, and hosted by our institution. Under the guiding principle of "Scientific Care, Rational Nurturing, and a Future for Childcare," the competition showcased the exceptional skills and professionalism of childcare workers and infant development instructors across Yantai.

After intense competition, 66 outstanding participants (including 15 infant development instructors and 51 childcare workers) from various districts demonstrated their expertise. The childcare worker competition assessed five core competencies: environment setup, daily care, safety and health management, early learning support, and training guidance. Meanwhile, infant development instructors were rigorously evaluated on their ability to integrate "medical care, nurturing, and education." Three competition venues operated simultaneously with precision and efficiency. Ultimately, the infant development instructor category awarded one first prize, three second prizes, and five third prizes, while the childcare worker category also recognized winners in these tiers. In the team rankings, the Laiyang delegation claimed the top spot with their comprehensive strength, followed by Haiyang and Fushan districts in second and third place, respectively. The event also presented multiple awards for outstanding organization and special contributions, honoring units and individuals who made significant efforts to the competition and industry development.

As the host institution, our school provided comprehensive, high-standard support to ensure the event's success. We meticulously allocated high-quality resources, opening multiple advanced training rooms as competition venues, and formed a professional team of faculty and technical staff to oversee everything from competition design to real-time scoring systems, ensuring smooth operations and precise judging across all three venues. The College of Culture and Tourism leveraged its expertise in infant and childcare education, with key faculty members offering technical support and outstanding student volunteers providing full-service assistance.

This competition was not only a test of skills but also a concentrated review of Yantai’s progress in professionalizing and standardizing its childcare service industry. By promoting learning, practice, and development through competition, the event set new benchmarks for the industry and strongly motivated practitioners to enhance their professional capabilities. On the professional stage carefully prepared by our institution, the belief in "scientific care and rational nurturing" was further reinforced, and the vision of "a future for childcare" is rapidly becoming a reality.
