On June 10, our school held the inauguration ceremony for the Academician Workstation. Attendees included Petrov Andrey Nikolayevich, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Qi Zhaoliang, Deputy Director of the Education and Sports Bureau of Yantai High-Tech Zone; and Su Junwei, Section Chief of the China-Russia Industrial Park in the High-Tech Zone. Zhang Yue, Deputy Party Secretary of our school, also attended the ceremony. The event was presided over by Shao Jun, Member of the Party Committee and Director of the Organization and Personnel Department.
At the ceremony, Shao Jun first extended a warm welcome to the guests and expressed sincere gratitude to the High-Tech Zone authorities for their long-standing support. He then introduced the collaboration between the academician and the hosting institution. He emphasized that the establishment of the Academician Workstation marks a significant milestone in deepening the introduction of high-end talent, promoting scientific innovation, and fostering talent development. The school’s Party Committee has placed great importance on this initiative, and with the strong support of the High-Tech Zone government and relevant enterprises, the workstation was officially registered by the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology in March 2025.
Amid warm applause, Academician Petrov Andrey Nikolayevich, Deputy Director Qi Zhaoliang, Kong Xiangmei (Chairwoman of Shandong Huashi Biotechnology Co., Ltd.), and Deputy Party Secretary Zhang Yue jointly unveiled the plaque for the "Shandong Business Vocational College Academician Workstation."
Following the inauguration, representatives from the College of Grain, Oil, and Food Science, along with team members and executives from renowned enterprises such as Shandong Huashi Biotechnology, Oriental Ocean, Shandong Ying'erle, Aiweike Biotechnology, Shandong Xinyu Biotechnology, and Yantai Shuihetu Biotechnology, engaged in in-depth discussions with Academician Petrov Andrey Nikolayevich. Subsequently, representatives from the College of Grain, Oil, and Food Science accompanied the Russian academician and other attendees on a campus tour.
The establishment of the Academician Workstation is a key initiative by the school to implement a talent-driven development strategy, advance high-level discipline construction, and deepen industry-education integration. It signifies a solid step forward in introducing high-end expertise and strengthening industry-university-research collaboration. Moving forward, the school will focus on cutting-edge technologies in food storage, preservation, and processing, leveraging the workstation to produce groundbreaking achievements. Efforts will continue to drive technological progress in the industry, address technical challenges, enhance talent cultivation, and deepen school-enterprise cooperation, thereby empowering the school’s connotative development and high-quality growth.
