Recently, the Yantai International Vocational Education Exchange and Cooperation Conference was held at the Dongfang Haotian Hotel. During the conference, ,Shandong Business Institute signed a cooperation agreement with Thailand's Rangsit University to build an "International Joint Laboratory" and a strategic cooperation agreement with the College of Technology in Laos.
The Yantai International Vocational Education Exchange and Cooperation Conference was guided by the Shandong Provincial Foreign Affairs Office and Shandong Provincial Education Department, organized by Yantai Municipal Government, and jointly hosted by the Yantai Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, the Yantai Municipal Education Bureau. UNICEF and Germany, the UK, Australia and other countries' diplomats in China, as well as domestic and foreign well-known vocational education experts, industry associations, vocational schools, key enterprises and nearly 100 guests attended the meeting.
Rangsit University was founded in 1985. It is a comprehensive university with the most majors and the largest scale in Thailand, which includes departments such as Digital Innovation, Engineering, Agricultural Innovation and Food Science. There are 89 undergraduate, 38 master's, and 10 doctoral degree granting points. Since 2021, our school has established contact with Rangsit University. Our school and Rangsit University have jointly hosted two International Conferences on China-ASEAN Food Vocational Education. We have carried out cooperation in student exchange, joint construction of curriculum, etc. In August 2023, our school delegation visited Rangsit University. The signing of the "International Joint Laboratory" cooperation agreement marks the deepening of comprehensive cooperation and communication between the two universities in the fields of grain and oil processing and storage, food inspection and testing technology, etc.
The College of Technology in Laos was founded in 2002. It is one of the higher education institutions with the highest information technology strength in Laos. It has won the championship in many international contests such as network security, code decryption, business model held in Laos, Southeast Asia, etc. The college includes departments such as information technology, business administration, and art design. The signing of this cooperation agreement will start a new chapter of deepening cooperation between the two sides in talent training, teaching and scientific research cooperation, student exchange and other fields.
