The department of basic teaching is committed to further deepen the teaching reform of public basic courses, strengthen the construction of public basic course service platform, comprehensively improve students' humanistic quality and scientific literacy, constantly update teaching ideas and strive to create high-quality and excellent courses.
There are 44 faculty members in the department of basic teaching, including 2 professors, 13 associate professors and 24 teachers with master's degree. There are five teaching and research sections and one research institute: political teaching and research section, English teaching and research section, Chinese teaching and research section, mathematics teaching and research section, physical education teaching and research section and college students' mental health research institute, which undertake the teaching tasks of all basic courses and some professional basic courses of the school.
The department of basic teaching has always focused on the central work of the school, constantly strengthened the concept of public basic courses serving professional courses, constantly changed the concept of education and teaching, committed to the long-term development and lifelong learning of students, and successfully passed the ideological and political course evaluation, language and text evaluation organized by the Provincial Department of Education.

The volleyball team of our school achieved good results in the Volleyball Championship of Shandong Province.
