I.College Overview
The School of Accounting and Finance currently offers four programs:Big Data and Accounting,Big Data and Auditing,Big Data and Financial Management,and Financial Services and Management.Among these,the Big Data and Accounting program is a provincial-level characteristic program in Shandong Province and hosts a provincial-level renowned teacher studio.Through years of effort,the college has built a highly qualified dual-qualified teaching team that integrates full-time and part-time faculty,demonstrating strong teaching capabilities,high-level teaching and research skills,and robust social service capacity.Among full-time faculty,over 76%hold master’s degrees,30%hold senior professional titles,and more than 90%possess dual-qualification certificates such as Certified Public Accountant(CPA),Accountant,Statistician,or Financial Planner.Faculty members have published over 400 papers,edited more than 70 textbooks,and led or participated in more than 10 provincial-level research projects.The college boasts 1 provincial-level teaching master,2 national top-ten business teachers,1 individual recognized as an advanced worker in ideological and political work in Shandong Province,7 college-level outstanding teachers,2 outstanding social science workers in Yantai City,and 1 member of the Shandong Provincial Financial Vocational Education Professional Guidance Committee.The Big Data and Accounting teaching team has been recognized as a provincial-level teaching team.
II.Program Features
The Big Data and Accounting program,established in 1975,is one of the longest-running programs at the university.In the 2022 Shandong Provincial Higher Vocational College Professional Development Level Assessment,it ranked first in the province.It has been rated as a provincial-level characteristic program in Shandong Province and a key construction program for the province’s skill-oriented prestigious colleges.The program has achieved remarkable teaching outcomes,with a strong faculty.The teaching team has been awarded the titles of"Shandong Province University Huang Danian-style Teacher Team,""Shandong Province Vocational Education Teaching Innovation Team,"and"Shandong Provincial Teaching Team."
The Big Data and Auditing program has a solid foundation,with auditing courses first offered in 1996,a higher vocational auditing program established in 2008,and a provincial teaching guideline for higher vocational auditing in Shandong Province led by the program in 2016.In 2015,it shifted focus toward the Certified Public Accountant(CPA)track,and in 2021,it transitioned to Big Data and Auditing in response to the digital economy.It is one of the earliest higher vocational programs in the province to integrate auditing with big data and intelligence,characterized by a distinctive educational approach emphasizing"solid foundation,strong skills,practical focus,and digitalization."
The Big Data and Financial Management program,established in 2017,is rooted in fostering virtue and nurturing talent.Aligned with regional economic development and the demands of financial job clusters,the program has undergone systematic and scientific planning and development.It aims to cultivate compound,innovative,high-quality technical and skilled talents capable of adapting to the digital and intelligent development of the financial sector.The program has achieved notable success in talent cultivation,curriculum development,teaching team building,school-enterprise cooperation,and technical services,with student employment rates and satisfaction levels ranking among the highest in the province.
The Financial Services and Management program emphasizes the integration of on-campus learning with corporate practice,focusing on a win-win model of school-enterprise cooperation.The program collaborates with enterprises to train students through real-world project exercises and case-based teaching,aligning with market demands and corporate needs to combine practical experience with theoretical knowledge.
III.Achievements and Honors
The Big Data and Accounting program has won 5 first prizes and 4 second prizes in the Shandong Provincial Vocational College Skills Competition.It also received 1 silver award in the Shandong Provincial"Internet+"College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition,2 first prizes in the"Challenge Cup"Shandong Provincial College Student Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition,and in industry association skills competitions,6 national first prizes,15 national second prizes,2 provincial special prizes,and 28 provincial first prizes.
The Big Data and Auditing program has won first prize in the National College Intelligent Audit Skills Competition,first prize in the National Financial Professional Ability Competition,and multiple second prizes in the Shandong Provincial Vocational College Skills Competition.The pass rate for the Intermediate Intelligent Audit Vocational Skill Level Certificate is 100%,achieving significant results in integrating certification with education,thereby enhancing students’professional competence and employability.
The Big Data and Financial Management program,over the past three years,has seen its teaching team lead or participate in over 20 provincial-level or higher research projects,publish more than 50 papers,and develop and publish 8 school-enterprise collaborative textbooks.The program has won 2 gold awards in the World Vocational College Skills Competition and 3 first prizes in provincial innovation and entrepreneurship competitions.
The Financial Services and Management program won first place in the group category at the 2023 National Vocational College Skills Competition(Higher Vocational Group)for"Smart Finance,"a gold award in the"Smart Finance"subcategory of the Finance and Business Track at the 2024 World Vocational College Skills Competition,and a gold award in the Finance Track at the 2025 World Vocational College Skills Competition.It has consecutively won first-place group awards in the Shandong Provincial Vocational College Skills Competition(Higher Vocational Group)for"Smart Finance"from 2021 to 2024,as well as a gold and silver award in the Finance Track at the 2025 Shandong Provincial Vocational College Skills Competition.Additionally,the program won first place in the group category of the"Enterprise Sand Table Simulation"competition at the 2024 Shandong Provincial Vocational College Skills Competition,has repeatedly won first-place group awards in the National Financial and Securities Investment Simulation Training Competition,first-place group awards in the Shandong Provincial Internet Innovation and Operations Management Competition,second-place group awards in the National College Student Financial Innovation Competition,second-place group awards in the Blockchain Application Innovation category of the Shandong Provincial College Student Science and Technology Festival,and the"Excellent Cooperative University Award"in the"Zheng Shang Cup"National College Student Financial Simulation Trading Competition.
