On February 20,local time,the closing ceremony of the third cohort of the Congo(DRC)Ban-Mo College(Northern Mining)&Ramica Chinese Vocational Workshop,jointly established by our university and Ramica SARL in the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC),was held at the project site.This ceremony marks a milestone in the localized talent cultivation achievements of our university’s“Chinese+Vocational Skills”international cooperation program in the DRC.
This cohort of the“Chinese Vocational Workshop”commenced on August 15,2025,with our university’s teacher,Gao Yanan,arriving in the DRC to conduct a six-month overseas teaching program,delivering systematic training centered on“Chinese+Vocational Skills.”During her overseas assignment,she primarily conducted foundational Chinese training,HSK specialized training,low-voltage electrician training,and mechanical maintenance training,achieving a dual improvement in language proficiency and job-specific skills.
At the ceremony,Ms.Gao Yanan,representing our university,delivered a speech.She systematically summarized the training implementation and educational outcomes of this cohort of the“Chinese Vocational Workshop,”fully affirming the students’progress in language learning and skill enhancement.She also expressed gratitude to Ramica SARL for its strong support and extended congratulations to the students who successfully completed the program,hoping they would apply their learned Chinese and skills in their work and serve as a bridge for Sino-Congolese friendship and cooperation.
Subsequently,certificates and awards were presented to outstanding trainees to recognize their exemplary roles as role models in promoting Sino-Congolese cultural exchange and contributing to corporate production.Grace,an outstanding trainee representative,expressed her gratitude in fluent Chinese and her local language for the joint training provided by the university and the company,as well as her determination to continue learning Chinese and improving her skills.In his concluding remarks,a leader from Ramica SARL extended heartfelt thanks to our university for its strong support and to Ms.Gao Yanan for her dedication.He noted that the“Chinese Vocational Workshop”serves not only as a platform for language and skills training but also as a crucial base for corporate culture development and localized talent cultivation.The remarkable outcomes of the third cohort,particularly the 100%pass rate for HSK Level 2,fully demonstrate the success of the university-enterprise cooperation model.
Finally,the attendees posed for a group photo,capturing confident smiles on camera,marking another solid and significant step forward for our university in serving the Belt and Road Initiative and deepening the“Going Global”strategy in vocational education.In the future,our university will continue to leverage its professional strengths,further optimize the“Chinese+Vocational Skills”talent cultivation model,provide stronger talent support for the overseas development of Chinese-funded enterprises,and continue to write more splendid chapters in Sino-Congolese friendship.
