On October 11th, the opening ceremony of the 2025 "Chinese Bridge" Summer Camp, organized by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and hosted by our university, was held in the first-floor conference room of the office building. Fifteen overseas team leaders from Guinea and Peru, along with their coordinators and interpreters, will embark on a two-week cultural learning and exchange program in China. Under the theme "Chinese Empowerment, Skills Fulfill Dreams—Chinese + Basic Management Skills," this summer camp aims to enhance the Chinese language proficiency and professional management capabilities of overseas team leaders while promoting the integration of cultural exchange and career development.

Liu Jiuqing, Deputy Director of the Education and Training Office at the Nonferrous Metals Industry Talent Center, and Yu Xingxiang, Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The ceremony was presided over by Liu Jingguang, Dean of the School of International Education.

On behalf of the university, Yu Xingxiang extended a warm welcome to the overseas team leaders and distinguished guests. She emphasized that this "Chinese Bridge" initiative is a significant measure in response to the Belt and Road Initiative, deepening China-foreign cooperation, and promoting mutual learning among cultures. She noted that the event not only provides overseas participants with a platform to gain an in-depth understanding of the Chinese language and culture but also builds a bridge for friendship and cooperation between China and other countries. Furthermore, she expressed her hope that the participants would become ambassadors of cultural exchange, bringing what they have learned back to their home countries and fostering mutual understanding between peoples.

In her speech, Liu Jiuqing highly commended our university for hosting this program. She pointed out that the "Chinese Bridge" is not merely a linguistic link but also a vital bond for promoting people-to-people connections and international cooperation. She emphasized that team leaders serve as the cornerstone of corporate management, and enhancing their comprehensive abilities is crucial for the high-quality development of overseas enterprises. Liu encouraged the participants to cherish this opportunity, engage in in-depth exchanges, adhere to discipline, and showcase their best selves, while also wishing the training program a complete success.

Wang Xu, the team leader representative, expressed sincere gratitude to the organizing team for their hard work. He noted that the summer camp provides team leaders with a high-level platform for learning and competition, which not only exemplifies international cooperation under the Belt and Road framework but also contributes to mutual benefits and synergistic development across industries. He pledged to go all out in supporting the "Chinese Bridge" program, ensuring that every team leader gains valuable knowledge and transforms what they learn into a driving force for corporate growth.

On behalf of the participants, Lounceni Sylla expressed his gratitude to all the staff at our university for their diligent efforts and warm hospitality. He shared that his experience in China for the summer camp has been filled with unparalleled warmth and care. Thanks to the meticulous arrangements and attentive services provided by the university, the participants can fully immerse themselves in learning and exchange activities. He assured that all participants would engage in every activity with enthusiasm and a positive attitude, striving to improve their Chinese language skills and overall capabilities, thereby contributing to the friendly exchanges between China and Africa.

The "Chinese Bridge" program hosted by our university, with its core theme of "Chinese + Basic Management Skills," aims to help overseas corporate leaders gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture, learn advanced management practices, and enhance their language proficiency and professional competencies. This initiative holds significant importance for further advancing the construction and development of our university's Chinese Workshop, serving international production capacity cooperation, promoting cultural exchanges between China and other countries, and better supporting national resource strategies.
