To deepen the integration of industry and education and build a high-quality, diversified educational platform that further highlights our "business strengths," our university held an off-campus expert demonstration meeting for the Alibaba Digital Trade Industry College in the conference room on the first floor of the administration building on the afternoon of July 16. The meeting invited external experts, including Shi Zhong, President of the Shandong Vocational and Technical Education Association; Liu Xin, Dean of the Shandong Vocational Education and Industrial Talent Research Institute; Tao Weiwei, Party Committee Member and Vice President of Weihai Vocational College; Guan Jianwei, Director of the Legal Affairs Office of Ludong University; and Hou Guoqiang, Director of the Cooperative Education Office of Weifang Business Vocational College, to conduct a comprehensive evaluation. Wang Faming, Deputy Party Secretary and President of our university; Wei Caikui, Party Committee Member and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission; as well as leaders and relevant staff from the Department of Industry-Education Cooperation and Employment and the School of Economics and Management attended the meeting.
Wang Faming extended a warm welcome to the attending experts and expressed hope that they would provide valuable opinions and suggestions regarding the construction of the Digital Business Industry-Education Integration Practice Center, particularly in terms of its alignment with national vocational education development strategies, policy compliance, and construction rationality. He also requested guidance on mechanisms for innovating industry-education integration and university-enterprise cooperation.
During the meeting, representatives from the School of Economics and Management presented the construction concept, planning, expected outcomes, and cooperation agreement for the Alibaba Digital Trade Industry College. The experts, based on the presentation and an on-site inspection of the college, offered extensive guidance and scrutiny. Their input spanned macro-level considerations such as the policy backdrop of vocational education development, the new "Double High" initiative, regional socio-economic service functions, and safety precautions; mid-level aspects like the positioning of the industry college, its talent cultivation role, and the systemic feasibility of the project; and micro-level details including specific terms of the agreement and legal liabilities. They provided numerous professional and targeted constructive suggestions for the construction of the Alibaba Digital Trade Industry College.
In his concluding remarks, Wang Faming emphasized that the demonstration meeting had yielded invaluable insights for the direction of the Alibaba Digital Trade Industry College and its cooperation agreement. He stated that the university would fully integrate the experts' feedback to refine the construction plan and content, focusing on strengthening positioning, ensuring safety, and complying with legal and regulatory requirements. Prioritizing talent cultivation and social benefits, the university is committed to building the Alibaba Digital Trade Industry College into a comprehensive platform that serves student practical training, deepens industry-education integration, and supports regional economic development.
