To vigorously cultivate master craftsmen, skilled artisans, and high-skilled talents, deepen education and teaching reforms, enhance students' practical skills and hands-on abilities, and promote the high-quality development of the school's education, our university held the 14th Skills Competition Month in June, featuring 45 events organized by nine schools and departments.

Each school tailored its competitions based on its professional characteristics, aiming to comprehensively and multidimensionally assess students' professional skills and overall competencies. The competitions were designed to simulate real-world work scenarios, allowing students to hone their abilities and improve their skills effectively. To boost enthusiasm among teachers and students, the schools conducted multi-level, multi-format promotional campaigns through posters, online platforms, and classroom announcements, creating a vibrant atmosphere for the event.

The Skills Competition Month achieved broad coverage and high participation, with over 11,300 students taking part in various events. In some disciplines, the participation rate reached 100%. The competition ultimately awarded 142 first prizes, 263 second prizes, 361 third prizes, and 155 excellence prizes, significantly motivating both teachers and students.

This event was not only a contest of professional skills but also a vivid demonstration of the university's innovative education and teaching reforms. It successfully facilitated the deep integration of "theory and practice, teaching and management, skills and qualities, employment and entrepreneurship," fostering a strong culture of nurturing talent on campus. Moving forward, the university will aim higher, transforming the Skills Competition Month from a periodic event into a regular mechanism and expanding participation from "some" to "all." The goal is to make the competition an "incubator" and "booster" for the growth and success of both teachers and students, using competitions to promote teaching and learning. By cultivating fertile ground for high-quality skilled talent, the university will continue to write a new chapter in the high-quality development of vocational education.
