Recently, Yu Xuwen, full-time deputy director-general of the Yantai Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League, and Gao Siming, director of the Organization and Publicity Department, led a delegation to visit Shandong Business Institute for research and discussion. Relevant teachers from the School of Culture and Tourism accompanied the delegation and participated in the discussion and exchange.
The research group learned about the development and training of new league members, ideological status, performance of duties and personal development plans of league members at the college, and affirmed the college's work in the construction of the league member team and talent selection.
In terms of professional construction and talent training, the research group focused on understanding the construction of health care majors and the further study and employment of students in Japanese and Korean-oriented programs, carefully inquired about curriculum setup, practical training teaching, school-enterprise cooperation and graduate employment, and listened to the work ideas and actual needs of the School of Culture and Tourism in building distinctive majors and cultivating international talents. The two sides also communicated on campus ideological work, and the research group put forward specific guiding opinions on ideological guidance, position construction, campus safety education and other aspects.
Combined with the high-quality development of vocational education, the research group asked in detail about the school-running, teaching and scientific research, and talent training of the School of Culture and Tourism, sorted out the difficulties in vocational education school-running, and collected front-line school-running information to provide a realistic basis for the Yantai Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League to carry out special research on vocational education and form research results, helping the local vocational education improve its quality and development.
Both sides stated that this discussion has built a communication platform for the college and local league organizations, enhanced consensus and clarified the direction. Next, the Yantai Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League will continue to strengthen contact and cooperation with the college, and deepen cooperation in key areas such as grassroots league affairs, vocational education and talent training.
