On April 1st, the unveiling ceremony for our university's Intangible Cultural Heritage Research and Learning Base and the Teaching Practice Base for the New Media Inheritance and Innovation Platform of Intangible Cultural Heritage Paper-Cutting Art was held at Mou's Manor in Yantai. Ms. Yi Peijuan, the provincial-level representative inheritor of Yantai Paper-Cutting, a national intangible cultural heritage project, a renowned paper-cutting artist awarded the title of "Outstanding Paper-Cutting Artist of the Republic", a national excellent paper-cutting instructor, a member of the China Folk Literature and Art Association, and a recipient of the "Star of Qilu Culture" honor, attended the ceremony along with relevant heads from the Mou's Manor Management Service Center and the Yantai Cultural Center, as well as the party and administrative leaders of our university's School of Information Engineering.

Yantai Paper-Cutting, a gem among China's paper-cutting arts, is renowned both domestically and internationally for its delicate, exquisite craftsmanship and unique style. As the provincial-level representative inheritor of Yantai Paper-Cutting, Ms. Yi Peijuan's works feature innovative and vivid compositions, graceful and flowing lines, evenly fine serrated edges, and aesthetically pleasing shapes, blending subtlety with boldness and delicacy with simplicity, fully showcasing the unique charm of intangible cultural heritage paper-cutting art.

The establishment of these bases marks our university as an important force in the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage in Yantai and even Shandong Province. In the future, the School of Information Engineering will uphold a more open attitude and professional spirit, committed to contributing more outstanding efforts to the cause of intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance.
