With the arrival of the new semester and a fresh atmosphere, the International Education College has comprehensively planned and proactively arranged various tasks for international students, building on the achievements of their winter vacation learning and cultural activities. These efforts aim to ensure the smooth progress of all tasks in the new semester, laying a solid foundation for the students' academic and daily lives. Teachers and students will work together to promote cultural exchange between China and other countries, contributing to the university's international development.

The college's faculty team conducted teaching seminars in advance, optimizing course designs and innovating teaching methods based on the learning characteristics of international students to ensure that the curriculum is both practical and professional. Simultaneously, comprehensive safety inspections were carried out on teaching facilities and dormitory environments to eliminate potential hazards and create a safe and comfortable learning and living environment. During the vacation, international students developed personalized study plans, improving their Chinese language proficiency through online courses, video resources, and vocabulary accumulation, preparing themselves for the new semester.
During the winter vacation, the college organized a series of "Cultural Chinese New Year" activities, providing immersive experiences for students staying on campus. In the "Celebrating Chinese New Year Together: Spring Festival Gala" event, the International Education College arranged for students in Yantai to shop for New Year goods, make dumplings, write the character "福" (fortune), paste Spring Festival couplets, and exchange greeting cards, allowing teachers and students to share Spring Festival customs and deepen their bonds. The "Strolling Through the Ancient City, Experiencing Chinese New Year" activity saw teachers leading students to visit the Yantai Youth Palace, museums, and ancient streets, where they experienced intangible cultural heritage and traditional New Year customs. The "Watching the Spring Festival Gala, Sending New Year Greetings" event involved organizing students to watch the Spring Festival Gala and send New Year greetings in Chinese to their parents and teachers, immersing them in the festive atmosphere. These activities, both entertaining and educational, deepened the students' understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture.
In the new semester, the college will focus on enhancing the comprehensive Chinese language proficiency of international students, strengthening their daily communication and academic application skills. Through multicultural courses and practical activities, the college aims to cultivate cross-cultural communication and innovative thinking abilities, empowering students for their future careers.
The International Education College consistently adheres to the principle of "student-centered" education. By advancing both vacation learning activities and semester preparation efforts, the college continues to refine its management and humanistic care for international students, driving the high-quality development of international student programs. In the new semester, teachers and students will work together to create a new chapter in cultural exchange, injecting vitality into the university's international development.
