Recently, the results of the 14th Shandong Province College Students Mathematics Competition were announced, and 7 students from our school entered the finals, among which 3 students including Sun Yu and Zou Renhao from School of Information Engineering and Lin Zhengguang from School of Intelligent Manufacturing won the first prize, and 4 students including Song Yutao from School of Accounting and Finance, Sun Zhonghui, Su Hengtong and Xue Jianmin from School of Information Engineering won the second prize.
The 14th Shandong Provincial College Students Mathematics Competition is one of the events of "Shandong Provincial College Students Science and Technology Festival" jointly organized by Shandong Provincial Science Association, Shandong Provincial Department of Education, Communist Youth League, Development and Reform Commission, Department of Industry and Information Technology, and Department of Human Resources and Social Security, with a total of 4,299 participants from 64 colleges and universities in Shandong Province. The competition aims to cultivate innovative talents and promote the reform of mathematics curriculum in higher education, enhance the interest of college students in learning mathematics, and provide a platform for young students to show their thinking ability.
Next, the school will summarize the experience of the competition in time to help promote the reform and construction of higher mathematics courses, stimulate students' interest in mathematics learning, cultivate mathematical thinking and scientific literacy, and lay a solid foundation for cultivating high quality technical skills talents.
