School Profile
Shandong Business Institute is a public full-time general higher education institution established in 1975. The school currently has two campuses in Yantai and Jinan. The Yantai campus is located in the national high-tech zone in Yantai, Shandong Province, China, backed by high-tech industries, bordering the sea to the north, with beautiful scenery, pleasant environment, and rich educational and cultural atmosphere. The Jinan campus is located in Licheng District, Jinan City, Shandong Province. The Yantai campus covers an area of 1418 mu, with a building area of 424,000 square meters and a total investment of more than 1.1 billion yuan. Currently, there are more than 18,000 students.
The school has a modern library of 25,000 square meters with a collection of 1.3237 million books. It has a laboratory and training ground of over 90,000 square meters, 14 national vocational skill authentication stations, more than 200 high-standard professional laboratories and training rooms, and teaching instruments and equipment worth more than 160 million yuan. At the same time, the school has established close cooperative relationships with business departments by leveraging its industry-based education advantages. It has built 372 off-campus internship and training bases, and hired 376 part-time teachers with rich practical experience.
The school adheres to the educational philosophy of "student-centered, individualized education, and colorful life", draws on advanced teaching models at home and abroad, comprehensively develops vocational quality education, effectively implements vocational skills education, and forms a unique vocational education system based on competency. In recent years, the employment rate of the school's graduates has remained above 98%, and the graduates of competitive majors are in short supply.
Program Overview
1. Degree Program
The school length is 3 years. Students can obtain the graduation certification after completing the teaching contents specified in the teaching plan and passing the defense of the graduation thesis. The learning method is generally: the first year is mainly language learning, supplemented by professional learning, and the second and third years are mainly professional learning, supplemented by language learning.
Before entering the professional study, college students must reach HSK level 4 or above, or study Chinese in the school of international education for one year or more, reach the level equivalent to HSK level 4, pass the school test with a acceptable grade; Applicants with the highest educational background and teaching language in Chinese may be exempted from HSK certification, but must provide proof of teaching language.
2.Non-degree Programs
(1) Preparatory Program
The school length is 12-36 weeks.Those who perform well, pass the examination and have excellent examination results can be recommended to study in relevant majors of Shandong Business Institute. The main courses include Chinese courses, professional Chinese, China's national conditions, cultural experience, etc.
(2) Advanced Student
The school length is 4-26 weeks, the student can apply for an appropriate extension of study according to the situation. Those who study Chinese language or other professional courses according to the regulations and pass the examination can obtain the completion certification of Shandong Business Business. It mainly accepts exchange students selected by foreign friendly schools. The teaching contents include Chinese courses, China's national conditions, cultural experience, professional courses, etc.
（3）Short-term culture Experience Program
The school length varies from 1 week to 4 weeks. You can obtain the study certification of Shandong Business Institute after the completion of the study. The aim of the program is to experience Chinese culture and Chinese custom.
Eligibility
1. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or above.
2. Applicants under the age of 18 must submit relevant supporting documents at the time of application and entry.
3. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and possess a valid foreign passport according to the “Nationality Law of the People’s Republic of China”
4. According to the notice of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (Document No. 12[2020] of the P.R.C the Ministry of Education), the nationality of international students applying for college students shall comply with the following provisions:
(1) According to the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China, applicants who have acquired a foreign nationality at birth, both of whose parents are Chinese citizens and have settled abroad or either of whose parents is a Chinese citizen and has settled abroad, don't have Chinese nationality. In addition to meeting other registration requirements, the applicants who applies for admission to our school as an international student of the junior college education should submit a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for more than 4 years, and have a record of actual residence in a foreign country for more than 2 years in the last 4 years (up to April 30 of the enrollment year) (the actual residence in a foreign country for more than 9 months in a year can be calculated as one year, subject to the entry and exit seals).
(2) Residents of mainland China (mainland), Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan apply to enter Shandong Business Institute as international students of the junior college education after immigration and obtaining foreign nationality. The requirements are the same as above.
5.Applicants must be physically and mentally healthy, meet the physical examination requirements for visa or residence permit in China, meet the physical examination requirements for major in Shandong Business Institute, and ensure normal study and life in Shandong Business Institute.

1. Degree Program
(1) Application Form for International Students of Shandong Business Institute;
(2) The high school diploma or pre-graduation certificate (to be stamped with the official seal of the school and notarized) ;
Note: Applicants applying with pre graduation certification must indicate the expected graduation time and obtain the graduation certification before entering Shandong Business Institute.
(3) Transcript for all the courses in senior high school (to be stamped with the official seal of the school and notarized) ;
(4) Copy of the biographic page and visa page of passport;
Note: personal ordinary passport must be valid until at least October 31st of the year of application;
(5) Recent white bareheaded ID photo (within 6 months);
(6) No crime Certificate (Chinese embassy certification and Chinese translation are required, the time of the application must be within the validity period);
(7) Resume and study plan（Chinese Translation Required）；
(8) Physical Examination Form；
Note: The applicants must fully filled in the physical examination form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician,or the official stamp of the hospital, or a stamped photograph will be deemed invalid. Please ensure your physical examination result remains valid during your application time asits validity is only 6 months.
(9) Applicants under 18 should submit supporting documents of a Guarantor；
(10) Statement of Financial Support to guarantee the reasonable expenses of study, life, and international travel during the students’ study in China and the passport and scanned copies of identity certificates of financial guarantors.
(11) The required materials vary according to different programs and countries.
2.Non-Degree Program
(1) Application Form for International Students of Shandong Business Institute;
(2) Proof of learning documents ( the official seal of the school must be affixed and be notarized);
(3) Transcript for all the courses taken when pursuing the high school degree (the official seal of the school must be affixed and be notarized);
(4) Copy of the biographic page and visa page of passport
Note: personal ordinary passport must be valid until at least October 31st of the year of application;
(5) Recent white bareheaded ID photo(within 6 months);
(6) No crime Certificate (Chinese embassy certification and Chinese translation are required, the application must be within the validity period);

Application Instruction
1. The application documents must be in Chinese or English.For documents in other Languages,the original documents and the notarized translations in English or Chinese must both be provided.Please use a scanner to color scan the original or notarized application documents.Images captured by mobile phones or cameras, or photocopies will not be accepted.Handwritten documents will not be accepted with the exception of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form or signatures.
2. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
3. Our school and the enrolment department have the right to require applicants to provide the original documents/notarized documents or the certification documents issued by the designated certification authority for further verification.
4. Applicants should ensure that the application information and application documents provided are authentic and correct. Once the admissions or certification department verifies that certain information in the application is incorrect or fraudulent, the application of admission will be canceled.
Application and Admission Procedure
1.Application
Shandong Business Institute implements online application,the applicants fill in Application Form for international Students of Shandong Business Institute; Please send scanned copies of all application documents to the email swinternational@sdbi.edu.cn.

(2) Application time: from now until May 31st，the application language is Chinese or English.
(3) The applicants should fill in the information truly, accurately, completely and effectively. If the admission of students are affected due to wrong filling, omission or false and invalid information, all adverse consequences and responsibilities shall be borne by the applicant.
2. Material Review and Examination
Shandong Business Institute will review the application material, organize entrance examination or assessment according to different majors and select the best applicants for admission.
During this period, the applicant can call the school of International Education (International Exchange Office) of Shandong Business Institute to consult the application progress and relevant notices.
3.Admission
The applicants who have passed the material review and examination evaluation will be admitted and be sent the admission notice by Shandong Business Institute. According to the relevant policies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and the National Immigration Administration and the length of application and study time, Shandong Business Institute will send the visa application form (JW201 or JW202 form) and other relevant admission materials for foreign students to China.
It takes 4-5 weeks from the completion of admission to the delivery of relevant materials.
4.Material Review
After admission, Shandong Business Institute will review the applicants’ materials. If the applicant is found to have violations, Shandong Business Institute has the right to withdraw the admission decision and cancel the applicant's admission qualification.
5. Report
Admitted students are required to register on time according to the time specified in the admission notice, those who fail to register on time and fail to explain the justifiable reasons shall be treated as automatic withdrawal.
Upon registration, the admission notice (original), the visa application form for international students to China (JW201 or JW202 form)、the original copies of application materials and 6 2-inch white bareheaded certificate photos. If you have has a physical examination in your country, please bring the original of all physical examination materials.
6. Preliminary Examination and Reexamination of Admission Qualification
Shandong Business Institute will conduct the preliminary examination and reexamination of admission qualification when students check in and after admission. If it is found that the admission notice, candidate information and other supporting materials held by students are inconsistent with their actual situation, or there are fraud, favoritism and other situations, they will be determined as unqualified ,the admission qualification of new students or the student status obtained will be canceled.
Scholarship
Shandong Business Institute sets up the international student scholarships. Please refer to the “Administrative Measures for International Student Scholarship of Shandong Business Institute”.
Visa
Admitted students must apply for a student visa at the Chinese Embassy/Consulate in their countries of residence with the Admission Notice and JW201/JW202 Form. International students who will study in China for less than 6 months should apply for the X2 Visa. Students who will study in China for more than 6 months are required to obtain the X1 visa. To stay in China legally, it is mandatory for X1 visa holders to apply for the Residence Permit within 30 days of arrival in China.The application materials and procedures shall be subject to the regulations of the local Chinese embassy (consulate), and the relevant decisions on issuance and refusal made by the Chinese embassy (consulate) shall be the final decision.

Important Statement
Shandong Business Institute does not entrust any intermediary institution or individual to conduct entrance examination training and admission, and does not charge any fees other than those specified by the state. The admission of the applicant is subject to the receipt of the formal notice (confirmation) of the school.

Campus life: Shandong Business Institute attaches importance to the cultivation of students' quality education and the construction of campus culture.
